The carrier also provides another option for transportation from Gatwick to Stansted and vice versa. It is an indirect connection via London Victoria, but the travel time is comparable. Just take the National Express from Gatwick Airport (South or North Terminal) to London Victoria Coach Station. Usually it takes 75-95 minutes and then transfer onto the National Express' A6 coach to Stansted Airport. It will take 85-100 minutes.

Ticket prices are different. The connection via London Victoria is much cheaper and costs from £18 one-way and £31 return. There is another option too, which also requires changing at London Victoria. Between London Victoria and Stansted Airport operates Terravision. The Terravision coach service is non-stop. You can travel with National Express from Gatwick Airport to London Victoria Coach Station and then with Terravision. This carrier operates from The Green Line Coach Station which is opposite Victoria Coach Station. Allow 60 minutes for transfer at Victoria. You will need to buy two separate tickets.


The cheapest promotional on-line tickets are now £8.00 one-way and £14.00 return for the National Express' Gatwick-London route, & £9.00 one-way and £14.00 return for the Terravision's London-Stansted coach.

Unfortunately there is no direct rail link which would allow transportation from Gatwick to Stansted or vice versa. There are a few options to consider if you are planning to travel from Stansted to Gatwick by train.

Gatwick To Stansted by Train and Tube

You can take the Gatwick Express train or the Southern Railway's train into Victoria Railway Station. From Victoria Station you will need to take the underground (Tube/Metro). Transfer onto the tube on the Victoria Line and take the Circle Line to Liverpool Street Station. From Liverpool Street Station operates the NXEA train to Stansted Airport. The entire journey takes about two hours. A combined ticket for an adult purchased via the Train Line costs about £34.60 (Southern/Tube/NXEA) or (Gatwick Express/Tube/NXEA).
